Thanks for the quick answers.

I started reading your "How I moved from lifetime Gold to lifetime Global Services in 24 months" thread.

I think one of the most annoying fact is that I am based in Singapore. This means my opportunity for flying UA is quite limited. Essentially only for trips to USA. For other trips to place like Japan I usually ended up having to travel ANA which does not count toward lifetime miles .

gudugan, does this mean that I really need to go out of my way to travel around more within USA?

You noted that it is more economical to do it by flying Economy --- So for lifetime miles United strictly count actual miles flown? i.e. One does not get a better multiplier if one flies Business?
  • Anyway, as an example I just recently flew Tokyo Narita to Denver. The actual miles flown is 5,780 miles (took more than 10 hours). It earned my UA MileagePlus account 2,015 miles only (a terrible multiplier) and 1 PQF and 403 PQP. The UA app never show me how many miles they add to my lifetime miles; it should be 5,780 miles, right?
Thanks.
