We are getting OT, but that would be a weird move IMO.

We already have this strange typo on the FB french website that shows that Platinum flying PE will now board at the same time as Silver flying Y. Remove lounge access on top of that and the premium to pay to enjoy the full Elite+ status will be clearly visible.

People with start comparing with cold, hard numbers, which is probably not in the interest of legacy airlines.
If a PFL can either buy AF light and get zilch or fly Easyjet for half the price and the exact same service, they won't be loyal for long. I want to think that AF knows it, and will keep giving unconditional perks (that don't cost much anyway) to FFs. The same way they did for Business Light.

And to get back on topic, I used to consider BlueBiz a great thing, albeit a bit cheap given how expensive AF tickets are.
But more than 80% of our tickets must be light fares, so with the new threshold, the program will be effectively useless for us. We won't use it anymore, and lose the tiny "irrational" incentive we had to accept AFKL tickets when cheaper alternatives exist. It turns out people are quite happy to fly LCC when you pay them lounge access; and no longer consider AFKL long-haul J superior to competition (though we only refund Y ticket as per company policy). I read somewhere they wanted to streamline BlueBiz user base, so mission accomplished.
