So I'm really confused now, other than the crappy reduction in rates, I looked at booking a hotel in the UK, and despite being a 'gold member' and supposedly getting 6% ( a 4% reduction), when I look at the one key amount for a booking for £167, its just £2.82, £14 worse off, (its closer to 1.7% of the total)..... its not worth getting out of bed for (or rather into bed!).
They supposedly give me £20 off for being gold, but I can still get it for cheaper than that.

So like many others, I'll not be looking at booking with them again. They really loose business travellers who look more at redemption than the headline price!
