So far this year, it's been good.
During January, I received 3 confirmed upgrades (although 2 of them were sacrificed when I used SDC to change to earlier flights
) and 2 that cleared at the gate out of 6 flown segments for the month.
LGA-ATL (757 - cleared at the gate)
ATL-SLC (763 - confirmed 47-48 hours before departure....lost due to SDC mistake by LGA ticket agent when I switched the first segment to an earlier flight)
SLC-MSY (733 - cleared at the gate)
MSY-SLC (733 - confirmed 47-48 hours before scheduled departure)
ATL-LGA (763 - voluntarily given up when using SDC to switch to an earlier flight)
For my next trip, I have already been confirmed as being upgraded on 2 out of the 3 outbound segments (the 3rd being on a CRJ-700...so, no upgrade possible) and it looks good for my return as well.
All of my "confirmed" upgrades have been clearing at roughly 47-48 hours before the scheduled departure time of the flight.
Personally, I am quite satisfied as to how things are going this year especially since so far, all of my travel has been booked in U and T class fares.
