Agreed. I was confused about that too. At the time of the missile launch, the flight was over Turkey before diverting to LCA and taking the long way around to DXB. The only time BA107 got close to Iran was in the later stages of the flight after entering the Bahrain FIR, but that was several hours after the missiles were launched.
