I had a HA acct for a long time with no use for the points
- kept adding 1k Amex each yr on my birthday to keep them from expiring.
Now, whole family is combined - each member AS->HA , then HA-> HA (mine) then on to my AS account
For next few months till the soe drops, we plan to combine all miles from cc signups etc etc
HA 70k Personal+2k spend = 72k
HA 50k Business+4k spend = 54k
AS Personal min 40k for 2k spend = 42k
AS business min 40k for 2k spend = 42k
Adds up to 210k for anyone counting - plan keep combining to one account over 6-9 months

Not worried about my dying and losing miles (unlike DL)
When my friend passed away in 2021, was able to just send a letter to AS with a request to send his miles to his wife
- done in 1 week with no issues
