Interesting that you think 1, 2 and 5 as not helpful. I disagree entirely. Even for 2, I would rather get lounge access for free from Gold then pay hundreds a year for the card but I also mainly fly international. 5 is incremental at best but I think most people would consider Gold, not Silver, the sweet spot. I agree it's not worth the extra PQPs but many of us here get lifetime gold naturally from our travels.
