Currently staying at this new IHG hotel in Bali.
As there is no thread yet..
- rooms: really modern and nice decorated, providing some Indigo style vibes. Had great nights of sleep. Airco is coming via the floor and working very good. Bathroom is incorporated in room, but via sliding doors it can be closed completely. One of the nicest non-suite hotel rooms I've stayed in at an IHG hotel
- Breakfast: rather extensive for a holiday inn, also lots of a la carte options. But breakfast area is not nice, it feels like an underground area, not much daily light, lots of big airco machines standing in all corners?!? Don't know what happened with this place in the plans.
- Location: very close to the beach and main Street in Canggu, so location wise one of the best hotels. Very good restaurant at walking distance.
- Rooftop: also here I think they did not think about it. Pool is really nice, very big, even too big. But the the place for loungers. They only have 12 loungers around the pool.. and some sitting/lying bags you can take for additional place in the corner. But due to the limited capacity, at 9 everything is occupied or reserved and you won't be able to enjoy some relaxing at the pool area. The hotel has 144 rooms, so this does not make sense at all.
Summarized: a nice place if you want to have a decent room and explore Bali during the day. To relax at the pool it's better to go to the indigo in Seminyak, which is not that much more expensive, but has a much more nicer pool area.
