89K points for a 5 night stay? That sounds like a steal. I just paid 50K points for 1 night at the Hampton in Hamburg (because walk-in rate was 569 EUR/nt

)
My second 5 nights that I added on is only 88k.
The original Jakarta Doubletree used to be capped at 20k per night. I went years without booking a revenue night! 21-22k per night at the Bandung property is a great deal. Sunday-Tuesday nights seem to be the cheapest nights to book in Bandung. I think there are only two actual suites at the property. Luckily I got the slightly smaller one, which has a full size kitchen, fridge, microwave and dining table. Noise from the train track nearby, and motorbike exhausts can be a bit much at times.
We usually eat a fair amount of food by the pool and room service in Jakarta. The pricing in Bandung seems a little high in comparison. No decent kids meal, and the pizza menu a little uninspiring. The poolside Italian restaurant has their smoking section nearest most of the pool seating. I was sitting in the middle of the restaurant today eating pizza, and I swear they were smoking cigars. Noxious. It was making me sick, so I left the restaurant and went to where the kids are swimming.
They also seem to be renting part of the pool out for swimming lessons, which I had never seen here before. They had a few lanes set up. They were nice and didn’t interfere with anyone.
