Now that you mention it, they did same to me at Capella Ubud two years ago. Total staff error - we were on an FHR rate and they'd already been prepaid. It was a huge hassle getting the double payment back, and it took so long that there was a significant currency disparity, which of course worked in the hotel's favor.
