Huh? It does matter to United, that’s why they’re banked. United is an airline where the lounges support the flight network, not a lounge operation supported by flights. No. The banking affects everything - check in, security, moving through a concourse and the lounges. It also seems like a poor use of all the airport resources. Thanks for the snark, though.
A benefit that is touted, like Polaris or lounge access, is worthless if it can’t be used.
