What is your Priority Club status?

Diamond Ambassador

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay?

No

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

King Bed Junior Suite* on the 8th floor facing the parking garage structure to the west. No further upgrade.

*When I entered the room, it was clear that I was in a King Standard with Sofa with the connecting room door closed. I called the front desk and they insisted the room showed as a suite and that no others were available; it was midnight so I just told the graveyard agent that I would deal with it the next morning when I checked out. When I spoke with the front desk, I was told that had I opened the connecting door, the living room of the suite was on the other side. Agent agreed with me that it wasn't for me to know and that either housekeeping should have opened the door or the graveyard agent should have told me to open it. A $50 credit was posted to my account as an apology.

How are the rooms?

Somewhat tired decor. Average-sized room and bathroom with decent water pressure and hot water quickly available. Having a mini-fridge in the room was welcome. Dubious stains on the carpet and lamps with crooked shades and badly placed. Basically, showing a lack of care or effort by housekeeping. Towels were thin and threadbare. Just a cheap, motel-ish vibe.

How is the exec. lounge?

N/A

What was good and what was bad?

Good -Very close to PHX airport. While the property can be accessed by the PHX Sky Train, we decided to use the free shuttle. We picked up our rental car the next day and walked to the Sky Train station across the street and rode it to the CONRAC at the last stop of the line. There were a few sketchy people at the outdoor light rail station but the entrance to the Sky Train station has a security guard. I was also told by a local that the light rail line and stations are regually-patrolled.

Bad - The shuttle was slow to pick up; we waited almost 15 min and we also made a stop at the nearby Holiday Inn. The driver said they were short-staffed. It would have been quicker to take the Sky Train to the hotel (but it was around midnight). The whole suite fiasco and general poor room quality was also bad.

For my Diamond Amenity, I recalled that the breakfast options weren't that great so I just grabbed some drinks from the cooler. We had an excellent breakfast at a hole in the wall pozole place a few blocks away.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

The rate was decent but this was my second and likely final stay here. I'll find a better property and take their shuttle to/from the terminals and connect to the Sky Train for a rental car.
