For a 21 hour layover you go down to the hotel desk in the arrivals area landside and they'll book a free hotel and transfer. Works brilliantly - because I have Elite status I got a very nice limo ride. They also laid on a return limo the next day, a free dinner on a set menu, and breakfast.

So you shower in your room. Simple and effective.
