I posted in the AA forum for one aspect of my question, but given the TP-run rationale for my booking / in hoping to tap into some of the expertise here, I'll repost:

I have a current booking, ticketed AA:

DUB-LHR-BOS-PHX-PSP on 11 Jan, arriving same day;
PSP-PHX-PHL-LHR-BCN on 13 Jan.

After having already shuffled the flights due to a BA cancellation (DUB-LHR) I've just seen the BOS-PHX leg is cancelled and the booking currently has a 'gap' for that sector. I've checked google flights, ITA matrix and AA.com and don't see that it's currenty possible to arrive same day into Palm Springs if I want an east-coast connection. 've checked NYC, BOS and PHL as well as moving the first DUB-LHR leg to the previous day to start from LHR on the 11th and this also doesn't work, generally arriving into PSP on the 12th.

It seems like my options are either i) fly directly LON-PHX/DFW and miss an east-coast stop, or ii) I spend a night in either connecting point. Option i) costs some Tier Points [I'd be fine losing 40, but 140 would be rubbish] and option ii) costs me the sole day i'd have in Palm Springsm, which I'd earmarked for a couple of rounds of golf.... so neither is ideal.

Would anyone have any suggestions of >2,000 mile transcon flights that would allow me to get into PSP on the same day from DUB (or LHR)? I'm happy to keep doing the looking, but suggestions of where would be very welcome.

Cheers,
~S
