Even if the acquisition was approved tomorrow, Asiana wouldn't leave *A immediately. Apparently Korean is planning on keeping the two entities separate for at least two years after the acquisition closes. Typically what happens with mergers like this is the acquired airline (Asiana) leaves their alliance and joins the acquirer (Korean)'s alliance until they're fully merged. It usually takes about a year for the transition to actually happen.
