Had a two-night stay here on the weekend. I've been here maybe half a dozen times since opening, and am aware that the hotel has a large number of rather small rooms, in some cases with internal courtyard view. In contrast, there are two superstar rooms, on the 7th floor, with a huge terrace, which offers a great view over Astridplein (rooms 702 and 703). I received one of these rooms as an upgrade in the past, but obviously that's not something to count on when staying on a busy weekend. So on this stay, I booked one of these terrace rooms, plus a base room. As expected, the hotel was near sold out, so the base room was upgraded to the 8th floor (still standard size, but at least there's a view of northern Antwerp rather than of the wall of a neighboring building). We arrived at 1pm and the small room was available (appreciated!), so we dropped off our bags and headed out. When we came back around 5:30pm, the terrace room still wasn't available (somewhat annoying, because I had planned to have evening drinks out there). Staff on that first day seemed to be a bit off, trying to double charge me for the terrace room (for which prepayment had been taken several days prior to arrival), and at the bar we were ignored, but that may have been due to the fact that entire place was taken over by a huge and very disruptive group. This unfortunately also impacted our enjoyment of breakfast on Sunday morning -- it was a zoo! The unpleasant atmosphere aside, we found the breakfast to be exceptionally weak for an Indigo. They had eggs, vienna sausages, bacon, plus some cheap meats, fruit salads, stale pastries (very good bread, though). I've had better breakfasts at several HIX in Germany, and definitely wish we could have had the waffles and salmon pictured in Nicolas75' report upthread. On Sunday, we assumed stuff simply ran out because of the group, but it also wasn't available on Monday. We like the design here, and the terrace is amazing, so we'll likely be back, but unfortunately can't give a ringing endorsement to the place.
