Whilst the T5 north and south lounges don’t fall into the best lounges in the world category and sometimes they are portrayed as the worst in the world by FTers, some would even say the F lounge isn’t all that great!!
I’d argue that at that time of year, they can be perfectly pleasant vs no lounge. Depending on flight time and how much time the OP wants to spend, if one has time to wonder to the T5B lounge then that’s much nicer than trying to find a random spot in LCY amongst the different outlets or public benches.
Despite a lack of lounge I like both LCY & LHR, LCY is much closer for me. But I guess if I’m travelling Club
and with checked luggage, I’d probably decide on LHR. Easier for baggage, lounge options and more options for alternative flights if it all goes wrong!
