Edinburgh is the airport closest to family so alas I have to use it but it is an endless race in the ways they can find to aggravate passengers. Domestic arrivals used to have a nice escalator down to baggage hall which these geniuses replaced with stairs and a small elevator some distance away from the typical BA gates.
For UA the Plaza Premium lounge is nice though and a blood Mary and tattie scone is to be commended. Bit of a walk if you are going from a low numbered gate though. I just wish they would stop flying those janky 757s though but at least it goes to Newark non stop. AA are bringing back their chocolate teapot of a service to PHL so DL is the main competitor but at least there is competition.
Thank you! Normally I travel with my 90 year old mum but she can no longer travel - I’ll miss the wheelchair assistance! Polaris upgrade was very cheap so I’ll enjoy champagne onboard and I can always hope I get through immigration quickly to make a lounge in Newark too!
