You must have booked it as 2 one ways, or booked it on one ticket from the call centre.
As all other regulars in the thread have noted, there has only been a "One Way" or "Return" option for many years now on the AF and KL websites when booking award tickets, with the "Multi City" option only available for revenue tickets.
