We just got back from our second stay at W South Beach in the past few years. For us, this property is the perfect combination of beach, luxury, service, modern rooms, and city amenities all in 1 place. We experienced much the same as what dcmike wrote already, so I won't repeat.

I'll just add three things that were not mentioned that I feel are worth mentioning.

1. In addition to all the communications pre-stay and during-stay, we have received multiple communications post-stay asking if the stay was great, asking for feedback, and if there is anything they could help us with post-departure.

2. The pool attendants here match the service provided at any top hotel around the world. Whether or not people were buying food from the pool restaurant/bar, the attendants brought everyone large pitchers of ice water to their lounge chairs and kept them full, even if you didn't buy food from them. Never seen anything like that before.

3. Undoubtedly this has to be one of the top Marriott's in the country. It's exactly what all W's should strive to be, but the overwhelming majority fall far short. This is one of those truly exceptional type properties in my opinion.

I really want to try the Edition out in South Beach, but there's just no way it can possibly match this, can it?
