If I had booked just weekday stays, it would've been $0 (although, I think the booking page mentioned they would charge $50 on $0 bookings to act as a deposit -- not sure if it was refundable).

Apologies for my ignorance on posting in this thread!
I had read the previous 20-30 replies, and while I figured there was some discussion around Hyatt points, I thought it was just a subset of the conversation (as a lot of the other talking points were about the hotel itself, renovations, player cards, etc -- unrelated to Hyatt...)/
I treated this as the Megathread for all things Rio Hotel, and it seems I may have been mistaken to do that.

Wow, this is great background!
I wasn't aware of these previous deals! Helps put me at ease to hear that other discounted stays were successful... It stands to reason that I shouldn't expect too much trouble when I try checking in!
I'm aligned with your thoughts... I think I'll try the iPad check-in, and if it goes a little haywire, will approach the front desk!

I have an alternate cancelable stay booked on-strip. If this falls apart, I'll at least have someplace else to go!

Thank you again
No worries, yes I guess this thread has been a bit diluted into non-Hyatt related Rio discussion and that’s okay I’m here to help.

With a $225 total, and a legit booking, I think there’s a 99.9% chance your booking is honored. I wouldn’t fret at all if I were you.

I do hope you were able to book a renovated room though as there’s a very large difference in quality from the non-renovated rooms.

Enjoy your trip!
