Not sure what in BKK is "not good for you". There are major tourist areas along Sukhumvit that are solely designed for tourist shopping and food and spa/massage.

Obviously that is not the way TG operates 😉

For an airline that decided to re-install a F cabin for its political aristocracy and an airline that decided to order and operate every type of aircraft available, from A345 to 747-400 to A380 to 787 to A350 and now re-adding A320. I don't think profit and money are their main drivers.
