So, given that the previous evening we did not get back from the Grande Place until well after 1 am, the morning was a slow one for the other two members of my team.

Given that they wanted a few more hours of sleep, I made my way down to breakfast all on my own. To say it was chaotic was an understatement. Total opposite of James May's pub in Swallowcliffe with nice quiet music playing in the background. This was a three ring circus. So much so that I could not even get a single picture, not that there was much worth taking a picture of. The only redeeming part was that it was free due to my status and the coffee was exceptionally good.

My breakfast view. One of the inner courtyards of the hotel. The one facing our bedroom was the same and due to the heat in the room we left our window open. Normally the mosquitos hunt me down, but Belgian mosquitos appear to like my wife. She had about 10 bites when she woke up.

We grabbed the car and headed over to our favourite Chocolate outlet. We have spent a lot of money here in the past, but the free samples and good value compared to what you pay downtown keep us coming back. We ended up spending 50 Euros to take back as gifts for work colleagues.

These little statues are everywhere.

We also hit up a grocery store and then just did some wandering. Once we got back to the hotel it was just about dinner time and my daughter wanted to try Plaka. There were zero complaints so we went back for another meal. Pita Gyro for my wife.

Both my daughter and I had the Assiette maison. I finished mine, it didnt look like she touched hers despite her actually eating quite a bit.

A few more shots of the Grande Place, but in the daylight this time.

It was a busy night on this beautiful Belgian Saturday night.

No trip downtown is complete without a Waffle. I think it got bigger since we were here last time.

They are not my thing, but the two of them gobbled theirs up in no time.

At this point we were stuffed and tired. Not to mention the fact we had to pack. So we headed back to the hotel and grabbed a drink in the hotel bar (free coupons for being a Diamond Member) before heading up to the room and packing. We called it an early night.

Up next, Car Free Sunday in Brussels, Ypres and some memories and an Air Baltic flight back to Riga.
