I would say if you are coming in from an international (with an OW alliance flight or MH) you should be able to have access to the international lounges first before proceeding 1.5 hours before departure of your domestic flight. This should be easily doable. Saves you at least some $$ and drink them at your destinations.

Of course this is not guaranteed, as I did read on the other lounge topic that sometimes the lounge dragons can be PITA and insists that you go to the domestic lounge.
