The Barclay's cards have been much more difficult to get in the past year for some reason so perhaps this may be part of the reason. My wife and I both have FICO scores above 800 and recently got denied for the HA MC which neither of us had ever had. Quite a few folks are reporting no longer being instantly approved anymore which essentially means a denial.
Same here. Wife and I both got the we are reviewing answer, then a couple of hours later, a declined. I didn't even bother pursuing.
