To book the Aahotels, is it best to go through Aadvantage website and click the link, or should one go to the Rocketmiles website and select AA program?

It seems that every time that I have gone through through the Aadvantage website and click on the AAHotels, I have not seen any bonus bonus offer, so perhaps I am doing something wrong.
