Not very crowded. Extremely crowded. Have had the pleasure of those gates three times over the past month. It's - - - - hard to describe. Thanksgiving travel on Spirit Airlines comes to mind. Dreadful, just dreadful. You leave the wonderful lounge, amble through the nice terminal, and then drop down the escalator to something no modern airport should ever have. Boarding for DOH KUL was wedged between two non-QR flights to Nepal and some place in India. Definitely not a premium experience. QR used to have (have not seen them in years) dedicated buses for C pax. Boarding was to regular buses until full, so it is getting quite crowded for looong journey to the remote stand.
