I was there today and agree with most of your assessment, but I don't recall CL breakfast ever being better. What do you feel is missing? I thought the chicken sausages were well worth the walk to and from my AA arrival and departure gates (which I needed after eating so many of them).
The early SFO CL is my reference point as I visited it many time. Lots of breakfast bakery items-sweet rolls, donuts, different kind of breads. Different kinds of breakfast meats (I really didn't like the taste of the DCA chicken sausages), Creative egg dishes, etc. All very San Francisco. And all gone.
