Leaving the airport under your own steam for a night in a Jeddah hotel would mean the faff and expense of visa and taxis. So you'll have the choice of camping out in the lounge or getting a room in the airside hotel, which should cost you somewhere around $150 for an 8-hour stay. I suppose you could set the hotel cost against the reasonableness of the fare....
