This falls into the category of a good place to spend a little more, you will not be able to check your bag thru, you will have to go thru immigration which as long as you have an egate eligible passport isn’t that time consuming, get your bag, take the hike to the train go to terminal five, hope you don’t hit a train strike, hope you are on time and don’t miss any cut off times, remember in the uk there is a cut off time to go thru security, if you miss the flight you will be told tough luck and lose the value of your ticket unlike in the us, t2 is slightly easier because you can walk but it isn’t a short walk,
if you do decide to do this make sure you have plenty of time
of course schedules change but currently I arrive at 1050 am on AA and have a couple connections choices to FRA (going a few days early to spend some time on the Rhine) (just don't want to spend 280K miles each to go NS to FRA. 1) BA 2PM out of t5 or eurowings at 1:30pm out to T2. Will have checked bag and us passport. Is there enough time for wither connection.
