The good news: I was finally able to select my seats on LH's website. It seems that the system reset once they emailed me my confirmation.
The bad news: I discovered that I made a terrible mistake. The long-haul segment of my trip (MUC-SIN) will be serviced by an a350-900 that has the old 2-2-2 Business class config. This is absolutely the worst international J cabin in the industry. I wrongly assumed that a new aircraft, like the a350, would have the Allegris cabin.
Will LH allow me to change my booking? I actually selected an award with an extra segment just to avoid a 747-8 out of FRA (that I knew had the old Business class) only to end up on an a350-900 out of MUC that also has the old Business class. Unbelievable.
Alternatively, I can roll the dice, and hope that my a350 will have the Allegris cabin retrofitted in time for my flight in late May (The a350s out of MUC will be getting Allegris first, but no chance that the 747-8 will get it by then, if ever).
What do you think?

late May will see many changes; the LH Allegris rollout is going at a glacial pace, however
