I'm not familiar with POE but I have noticed that at some airports - perhaps those with more GE users - they have moved the kiosks to the side so that there is now a central path through to the desk. At very high throughput locations there may well be an agent standing at the end of the path with a tablet showing received face pictures (kiosk and app), and they just clear people as they move along the path. But in smaller locations, or places where the kiosks form a full barrier across and there's not much scope to arrange things differently, you just walk up to the GE kiosk and your picture will be on screen already.
