Comair is operating DL5041 this evening from SLC-DTW with a CRJ. At 1,476 miles, this may be the longest CRJ (or even ERJ) flight in the world. It's been scheduled for awhile, with the ability to purchase tickets, but appears to be a one-time thing. I wonder if DL's testing the performace of the aircraft on such route? I've flown SLC/DTW about a half-dozen times in each direction over the past year, and the loads have ranged from a couple of people to no more than 25 or so...
This is quite a long way for a CRJ. However, like I posted on another thread, I wish they would put a EMB-170 on SLC-BHM!
