I wonder what AA does at BUR because AA advertises a meal in both directions between DFW & BUR (the 7:00 AM BUR-DFW advertises "Continental Breakfast" - the 12:34 PM departure advertises "Lunch" - maybe AA double caters from DFW for the afternoon flight).
AA is generally better than DL in that mainline flights departing from stations without catering will be double catered. The exception is after RON, where the first flight out will have AA’s version of sad box (basically shelf stable stuff)- which makes DL’s sad box look absolutely gourmet in comparison
