This hotel scammed me with the DCC fee. When I checked out the front desk agent quoted my balance in pounds and handed me the CC terminal to tap onto. As I was about to tap, I noticed the currency in USD. Unfortunately, I wasn't able pull back my hand fast enough to prevent the card from scanning. After questioning the agent repeatedly, she kept saying, everything is in pounds and there is no issue. Since I had a flight to catch, I did not want to drag this situation out. Looking at my CC statement, there looks to be around a 3.8% rate difference. I'll be filing a complaint with corporate on this and hopefully help prevent this scam from continuing at this property.
