Maybe I missed a prior discussion on this but I was told yesterday that special meals are not available on the transcons anymore. I got them on SEA-MCO in December so this change is recent.

Guess I have a choice of bringing my meals with me or asking the FA in F to try to give me the entree that most closely suits my needs -- or perhaps a combination of the two. The race to the bottom continues.
