Hello!

My wife and I will be traveling to Dubai from USA and back with our 15 month old baby-we have done international traveling with him before but when he was younger and smaller but I think he is pretty big now for to being in lap the whole journey or to fit in a bassinet.

I have been looking around and calling different airlines with no clear answers-so if we are to buy a separate seat for our baby for example in business can he lie down and sleep on it on his own ( is that permitted or does he need a car sear for it, he won't sleep in car seat for that Long for sure) and don't to lug a car seat for him when we know he won't use it much.

Secondly nearly all airlines on their website have no option of even buying a separate seat for under 2-they assume he going to be a lab baby or a bassinet baby, they should realize there is a huge different between a 3 month and an 18 month baby.

Anybody had a similar experience traveling on separate seat with an under 2 baby without a a car seat ?
