Actually the fact that CDG has a stupid design with many small terminals is exactly what makes the experience bad. Creating a walkable airside link between 2F and 2D would be the second thing I would do if in charge of CDG (after kicking off the project of making L gates satellite dual-level to allow for mixed-use gates like MUC T2 or AMS D)
