If Xfly/Nordica has been loosing that much money on the contract, they should really celebrate being released from it.
Having been on a few Xfly operated flights, I can't say I am impressed with the reliability. I don't think there has been one without a last minute change of aircraft due to maintenance issues and a subsequent delay. One time even an aircraft change and then a maintenance engineer visit. So I can believe a lot of the losses could have come from penalties.
Once the flight actually departed, the service was fine. But step number one is really get the plane pushed back on time.
So if the losses mainly came from reliability issues, are they ready to take on Lufthansa Group?
