Must admit I would not have thought of Crewe, I suspect most people would just go to Piccadilly?

EDIT: If you search MIA to EUS with Trainline it seems to send you through Manchester Piccadilly mostly, going via Crewe seems to take 2h 36min and you can do via Manchester in about the same time.
