Flying LHR-HEL on the A350. Planning to waitlist for business class upgrade. But I also have the option of paying to select a seat in the PE cabin.

If I pay for a premium seat assignment, would that be refunded if the upgrade clears?

(And thanks to this thread I know to select the seat before waitlisting the upgrade!)
