If we go again, there is one thing I'd do different: On the way back to Nairobi, we opted for the 8:15am flight on AirKenya because I did not want to pay the park fee that day. I believe you need to leave before 10am for that. We got into Wilson at 10am ish. got our big suitcases from storage, and transferred to NBO via Uber where we arrived at 11:30am or so. We were booked on the 6pm flight to Doha on Qatar Airways. Thought we would be able to drop our bags and then do some lounge hopping, but no. The Qatar Airways counter didn't even open until 2:30pm so we had to hang out in the check in area for a few hours before we could proceed. So if you have a late flight from NBO, I'd recommend doing the road transfer instead of the flight. We thought about doing an activity in Nairobi that day but couldn't really find something that was of interest and with the luggage it was just too much of a hassle. Sharing this because many of the international flights out of NBO leave later in the day.
Not true, we stayed till 2pm and they gave us a late check-out so we relaxed in our room most of the day. They don't charge the park fee if you don't go on a drive
