Odd as it may sound, crew are very unlikely to know whether a flight might, would or could have been cancelled. It’s simply not the case that all 20,000 crew have a direct line into central ops control - often they’re the last to know what’s going on. Same with the call centre really - things move very fast on days like today and ducks don’t always line up everywhere.
