I got the card a few days before 2/28/2024. I had already passed the 50k and 90k LP thresholds, so I got 20k LP more or less right away. And the 100k RDM SUB. And then I got another 20k LP for passing the thresholds again since then. So I am still on my first year as a cardholder and I earned 100k RDM, 40k LP and a ton of 10X RDMs from AA Hotels bookings. I have yet to visit an AA lounge, but I have used it a few times for Alaska clubs and will a few more times before the next annual fee posts. Not sure yet if I will keep the card long term.
How close to 2/28 did you apply? Did you need to buy anything to get the bonus LPs? I’m probably going to be close to EP by the end of this qualifying year, I may need the boost to put me over the top.
