I haven’t had a C1 card before, so don’t know if type of experience has been previously reported, but I wanted to share it fwiw.

Background: I’ve been pondering applying for the Savor One for a while now. I had done a pre-approval check a couple of weeks ago that showed approved. For reasons that would take too long to explain (but I assure you made great sense at the time), I impulsively applied last week through the main C1 webpage (ie, not the pre-approval link), forgetting that I had just done some unrelated credit reshuffling the prior day that led to a hard pull.

Application process: My Savor One app was denied. Belatedly realizing my timing mistake and unwilling to give up, I decided to go ahead and immediately apply again, this time using the pre-approval link. And this time I was approved — albeit without the welcome bonus and … for a credit line of several hundred (not thousand, but hundred) dollars.

While regretting my timing and losing the easy $200 bonus, I am happy about getting the card under the circumstances - it fills a niche I was was seeking to fill in my card rotation. And I suspect that eventually with several months of responsible use, C1 may consider raising the credit limit. At the same time, I’m still half expecting they will reverse the approval. We shall see.
