There is something which would be simple to implement and could be effective, IMHO: in the lounges, have signs on the walls or a flyer on the tables asking people to use their headphones and saying that use of speaker function is not allowed. Inflight, along with a purser announcement of "we are happy to offer free highspeed Wi-Fi in this flight to all our Flying Blue members", follow with an announcement of "for the comfort of all passengers, we please ask that you use headphones and refrain from using any speaker function on your devices". I would be even happier if they would make it more of a rule, like "the use of speaker function is against our rules of carriage and we ask our esteemed guests to abide by the regulations", but I guess that is not happening. I would also love if voice calls were somehow blocked. If you can text, there is no reason to talk loudly in a confined metal tube ...
