I really like the CW property - excellent elite recognition (upgraded to Jr Suite from the base King room rate). Service very good except in the restaurant last night as a result of being short-staffed.
Good breakfast, nice wine list, Exec Lounge is very small but hasn't been crowded, decent hot food selection and better snacks (huge cookie range) throughout the day than Bankside. Obviously much better views, too. 5 minute walk to the CW underground station, Tesco a 3 min walk away for any supplies. No pool, unfortunately, which is one of the major things that Bankside has in its favour.
A very decent property - I've also tried the Curio Lincoln Plaza and definitely prefer the CW Hilton. Why? Lounge, room layout (proper desk, not... whatever the hell that table and chair thing is in the Curio), slightly better service BUT that said the service at the Curio was very, very good. No more than a 3 minute walk between the two properties if you're trying to choose on any other basis.
I have no idea what weekends are like but there's plenty of life around here during the week.
The area is much more quiet at weekends, however the Hilton has a different clientele at weekends and can sometimes get a little noisy in the executive lounge.
I’m there myself Saturday night so fingers crossed.
