I recently did the same. I phoned the US number at 1am on the day of release for our return flights to try and secure them and add them to our booking, as we had limited flexibility. We were lucky and secured the ones we needed but 2 of the 3 possible flights were gone by the time we got through to an agent who could help. We had been watching availability and noticed the flights were being snapped up before the UK office opened on each day. Ours was a very popular route and during school holidays so knew there was likely to be a lot of demand for the dates and route we wanted.
