Motivation? I can't think of any except maybe some laziness. However, I have found the Partner Desk agents at DL the most helpful and most knowledgeable around. This is so unfathomable an excuse that I wonder who this OP ended up getting connected to. The computer controlling inventory does not know which city the agent is sitting in? I would have been flabbergasted with such a comment from the agent.
