I cannot recommend Capitol Kempinski, we stayed in 2 rooms over a week in June and would never return. The rooms were very disappointing and even though they were the same category the differences were huge. We asked for things, such as a broken door lock, to be fixed multiple times and it never was.
There were so many service errors it was ridiculous. We are a pretty chill family, who don't request loads of things. We do our own bookings and only use concierge for taxis etc. so our requests were basic and not over the top. They were mainly due to things being broken or not working.
We asked to speak to a manager during our stay and on check out and it never occurred. Food and beverage at breakfast was pretty good, but I agree the pool and lobby and public areas were a let down. The main dissatisfaction was the service though.
We were sent a generic survey which I responded to honestly and the manager eventually emailed me due to that, but their response was luke warm and brushed over our concerns.
We will keep exploring hotels in Singapore, but do like the MO and FS and have stayed in these hotels many times. Sometimes we just want to try something new though...
